Over the past couple weeks I've noticed a good number of links that appear to gifs of cats from their thumbnails, but instead cause my mobile device to open up the iTunes Store for seemingly random apps or else it brings up various pop ups.
I don't know if the mods can do anything to prevent such posts, or at least provide warnings for links from suspicious sources. It seems like the suspicious posts come from users with no other posts and they bogus posts don't affect everyone (or else there is additional vote manipulation going on to get the bogus posts to the front page).
I would be suspicious of my own device having some sort of virus, but it only happens with posts from this subreddit. If m iOS device really did have some sort of virus, I would expect it to show itself at other times, but it does not. It looks like /r/CstGifs is being targeted by somebody.
